At Apollonia Dental Care, we are passionate about all aspects of dentistry, and are proud to offer everyday dental care to NHS and private dental patients. We are a small, professional practice working with residents of Greenford, Brent, Hayes, Ealing and other surrounding areas.
On average it is recommended that patients visit their dentist for a general dental check-up every six months, although this will vary from patient to patient, so you should always follow your dentist’s advice if they recommend you should be seen more frequently. We treat all of our patients as individuals and provide you with a personal treatment plan and a range of dental services to suit your individual needs.
Our everyday dental services include checking for early signs of tooth decay and gum disease. Gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss in the UK, but when spotted early can be treated effectively. Most patients will experience mild gum disease at some point in their life. Treating it involves regular visits to the dental surgery and a prudent home oral healthcare regime. Our team can provide you with bespoke home oral health advice to keep your teeth and gums in the best possible condition.
There are two forms of gum disease, the milder form gingivitis and, if gingivitis is left untreated, the more serious form, periodontitis. Early signs of gum disease include blood on your toothbrush or in the sink when brushing your teeth, as well as tender or swollen gums. If you spot any of these symptoms you should book a check-up with us immediately. Gum disease is caused by the build-up of plaque on your teeth, so you need to make sure all plaque is removed using a combination of visits to the practice for a thorough clean, and a good home brushing and flossing regime.
